AnyDice is a web application (written by Jasper Flick) that provides a dice probability calculator that can be scripted to mimic many types of dice mechanics.
The core dice resolution system in the game is the Action Roll. An action roll is used to compare a player's ability against the difficulty of a challenge.
A character's ability is represented by rolling three dice rated between D4 and D12. The director sets the target difficulty using an effective range from 1 to 10.
The game system uses a simple roll-over dice mechanic. Each die that exceeds the target difficulty number is counted as a success; otherwise, it is a failure. The following demonstrates the odds of success for each step dice rating against the recommended range of target difficulty numbers.
